How FreeCell Solitaire Works
The game begins with all 52 cards dealt face-up into eight tableau columns. Four free cells at the top left provide temporary storage for single cards, while the four foundation piles at the top right are where you build each suit from Ace to King.
You can move cards between tableau columns by alternating colors and descending rank. The number of cards you can move at once depends on how many free cells and empty columns are available.
